About Us
The Chamber
of Hispanic Entrepreneurs & Professionals of Arizona (CEPHA)
formerly known as ACOSUR (Southern Merchants Association) was
founded in March 2003. In the beginning, there was a lack of
support for Hispanic entrepreneurs and to this end, they undertook
the difficult task of defining the most common among them. A
survey showed that most of these entrepreneurs neccesities are:
lack of knowledge in accounting, advertising, revenue, knowledge
about real estate, legal and financial.
Through collaboration and concern of a group of Hispanic businessmen
from the south of Tucson, was formed ACOSUR. At present, ACOSUR
now called CEPHA has become a legal entity with its own board,
and with the ability to receive new members.
Members and guests attending the monthly conferences receive
educational information on topics related to managing their businesses. |
